The power of
3D governed by design thinking boosts both creativity and productivity through
“constructive internal reflection” in collaborative problem-solving endeavors. Refer
ET editorial titled “Betting the House on Innovation – The possibilities of 3D
imaging are seamless” [The Economic Times, Bhubaneswar, Saturday, 29 March
2014]. If I may add they are endless too. Also see the ET citings: “Productivity
at Work” by David Brendel. [Click]
At the same
time it is worth reading yet another editorial with a cautionary note titled “Trusting
Technology Giants has Its Flip Side” [The New Indian Express, Saturday, 29March 2014]. My earlier blog post titled “Collaborating by Design” is
relevant in this context.
Universities
in Odisha (either private or public) would much rather collaborate globally
than seeking out opportunities for strengthening their local collaborative
ties. They little realize that both
global and local collaborations complement each other and will certainly help
them in their endeavors for transforming the Universities into powerhouses of
creativity and productivity. Technologies
(both hard and soft) are the enablers and lend the power of 3D that has been
recognized by global giants such as Facebook and Google.
This
observation is based on the bloggers personal experience with introducing
collaborative technologies [both hard and soft] that have been systematically
blocked by local designs [made by mortals] from being beneficial to the peoples
of a mineral-rich poor state like Odisha. After all it is the power of Intelligent Design that is supporting
mankind’s quest for promoting technology for the benefit of the society through
sustainable designs [i.e., all is well only if it starts with a good
design].
